Upgrade To YouTube Premium With New Features

YouTube Premium

You can now pick up where you left off watching a video on YouTube even if you switch devices. But you can only do that if you pay for a premium account. The streaming giant has given YouTube Premium subscribers five new features, one of which is a better mode for 1080p HD video quality. It’s also adding a smart downloads feature that lets you watch videos when you’re not online.

How is the new 1080p HD video quality different?

YouTube Premium’s new video quality option will be a “higher bitrate version of 1080p HD video quality.”

People say that the enhanced 1080p setting gives “deeper visual quality” and makes videos look “extra crisp and clear,” especially when there is a lot of movement and detail in the video.

It is now available on iOS and will soon be available on the web

Not all videos will have the option to improve the video quality.
YouTube says that shorts, live streams, and videos with resolutions higher or lower than 1080p will not be able to use the 1080p HD video quality option. The regular 1080p option will still be there, though.

You can pick up where you left off by watching a video

You can now pick up videos on YouTube Premium right where you left off, no matter if you’re on Android, iOS, or the desktop site.

This feature could be helpful if you want to watch something on a bigger screen or if the device you are using right now has run out of power. In either scenario, you will be able to “jump back in immediately.”

Smart downloads will add videos to your library without you having to do anything.
YouTube is also rolling out a feature called “smart downloads,” which adds recommended videos to your in-app library when you’re connected to Wi-Fi. This lets you watch the content you’ve downloaded even when you’re not online.

This option will help you if you are traveling and don’t have access to the internet or if you forgot to download videos before you left.

YouTube is adding phones and tablets to its queueing service

Also, YouTube is letting Premium members use the “queue” feature on their phones and tablets. You can make a list of videos you want to watch next with this feature.
You can also watch videos on YouTube with other people.

YouTube recently added a feature to Android that lets Premium members watch videos with friends and family via Google Meet, whether or not the other people in the meeting also have Premium.

This choice is also coming to iOS. Through SharePlay, FaceTime users will be able to watch videos together. This feature will be made available in the next couple of weeks.
