A Security Update for The Galaxy S22 Series is Being Sent out in September

Galaxy S22

Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series is getting the September 2022 Android security patch. All three models have begun to be sold by the company in Europe. The latest security update for Samsung’s top-of-the-line phones should soon be available in the US and other markets.

The September Security Update is Being Sent to The Galaxy S22 Line

the September SMR (Security Maintenance Release) for the European Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ with the firmware version S90*BXXS2AVHD is being sent out. This is S908BXXU2AVI3. It is for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. There are no changes or new features that the user will see, but the system may be more stable and bugs may be fixed. Samsung’s phones just got the One UI 4.1.1 update, which adds new features. It is also testing One UI 5.0, which is based on Android 13 and should come out next month. So there’s a lot to look forward to in terms of new features for the Galaxy S22 series.

For now, you should be happy with the most recent fixes for security holes. Samsung says that the September SMR fixes more than 50 privacy and security problems in Galaxy devices. Some of these problems are in Google’s version of Android, and Google fixed them. Most of the problems were called “high-severity vulnerabilities” by Google, which means they could affect any Android device from any brand. But the September SMR also has fixes for 29 Galaxy-only security holes. Other brands’ Android products don’t have these problems. Samsung talked about problems with the Photo Editor, the Video Editor, the System UI, and other parts of the device.

Users of the Galaxy S22 in Europe are now getting these security fixes. The update will be sent out over the air (OTA) in batches, and it may take a day or two for all eligible devices in the region to get it. You’ll be told when it’s ready to use on your phone. The latest security update is also good news for users in other parts of the world. You can always use the Settings app to see if there are any updates.

Samsung is moving quickly with One UI 5.0 beta testing

In July, Samsung put One Ui 5.0 for the Galaxy S22 series through beta testing. It has already put out two beta updates, and the third one will come out next week. The beta program for the Galaxy S21 series was also just made available by the company. There are rumors that stable One UI 5.0 will be released in the middle of October. It will start with the Galaxy S22 trio and move on to more models over time. We’ll keep you in the loop.
