On October 4, Google will show off its Google Pixel 8 line. The company seems to have revealed the lineup, which is said to include the Pixel 8 as the base model and the Pixel 8 Pro as the new Pro model for this year. It will come out in October 2022, after the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, which came out last year. Several leaks, reports, and certification lists have given hints about the phones’ most important features. The soon-to-be-released phones are also supposed to be a big step up from their predecessors. Now, a few days before the phones are officially released, a tipster has put together a list of all the expected features and prices.

Google laid out all of the Pixel 8 series’ features and prices that people should expect. According to the story, the Pixel 8 will come in Obsidian, Hazel, and Rose colours, while the Pixel 8 Pro will be available in Obsidian, Porcelain, and Bay. According to the post, the base model will probably cost $699 (about Rs. 51,800), and the pro model will probably cost $899.

The Google Pixel 8 base model is said to have a 6.17-inch OLED screen with a full-HD+ resolution, while the Pixel 8 Pro is said to have a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED screen with a QHD resolution. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is expected to protect the screens when they come out. The phones are likely to have Tensor G3 SoCs and come with 8GB+12GB and 128GB+256GB of RAM and storage, respectively. Android 14 will come with the phones.

The Google Pixel 8 is expected to have a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens. The Pixel 8 Pro is expected to have a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens, and another 48-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x zoom. The front cameras of the phones are likely to be 10.5 megapixels.

Google is likely to give the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro seven years of OS and security updates. Along with Magic Editor’s face-swapping tool, the phones will likely have Real Tone, Night Sight, Astrophotography, and Super Res Zoom. Users will also be able to use the Video Boost and Light Sight features to take movies even when there isn’t much light. The phones are also said to have an audio eraser that will help reduce background noise in movies.

The Pixel 8 is expected to come with a 4,485mAh battery that supports fast charging at both 24W and 12W. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro should have a 4,950mAh battery with support for 27W fast wired charging and 12W wireless charging.
